Hello?

By Anonymous - 19/03/2015 05:35

Today, after a 16-hour work day, I came home to my husband. I talked to him for about 10 minutes, then realized that he wasn't answering me but had his headset on and was talking on Xbox live. Not even playing a game, just talking. FML

why would you even want to talk to anyone after a 16-hour work day...

Obviously to complain about the 16 hour work day.

That's when you smack him in the head and walk away. Maybe he'll get the hint that you don't want to be ignored for Xbox which he's probably been playing all day.

Next time announce your presence better. I agree with the "appear naked in front of him" and "take ONE side of his headphone and announce you're there". Good headphones isolate any sound OUTSIDE it and prevent any from getting out. Wasn't his fault. If you want him to notice you while getting home without any of those advices, try moving the sofa to a position which he could see the front door.

YDI for paying so little attention that it took you 10 minutes to figure out he had a headset on and wasn't talking to you.

You might need to get your own x-box and head set to talk to your own husband.

I do that all of the time when I'm on Xbox.

Why are you complaining about a 16 hour work day? Some of us have to deal with 24 hour work days and those make a 16 hour seems lovely.

People you meet in online games often become your real friends. Thus talking to them, even without playing, is quite normal.

You completely deserve it. It's not your husband's fault that you talked at him for a full 10 minutes while he was conversing with someone else. He couldn't hear you talking. What's your excuse?

she said that like phones aren't a thing. if you didn't directly request his attention, you don't get to be mad. that "he should know" bullshit clearly doesn't work.
