Maybe this is going to sound bad and I'll probably be down voted but...what's wrong with him just talking to someone on Xbox Live while not playing a game? Would him playing a game AND talking to someone make him not responding to you more acceptable? It sucks that he didn't notice you, but next time try walking in front of him, or my personal favorite, taking on side of the headphones off and announcing your presence.
It sounds like the husband was pretending to talk to someone to avoid talking to OP. If that's the case, that's pretty sad.
#16, you can still talk to people without playing a game on Xbox.
#16 that seems to be what the op thought her husband was doing, but chances are he was actually talking to someone else out of game and perhaps didn't realise she was there
#16 I can't say whether or not the husband was pretending. I've been in Xbox Live plenty of times on the home screen just talking to friends. We don't always play and talk at the same time. If he was just pretending to talk in order to ignore her then that's just rude.
I think the fact that he was just talking to someone and not playing a game makes it worse because it would be more understandable that he was distracted and didn't notice that she was home if he was playing an intense video game than if he was just casually speaking to someone.
A gamers life is hard. Haha nah jokes that was slack
I wonder how it took you so long to notice that he wasn't paying attention to the conversation. Were you just holding a monologue? I'd suggest checking if people are actually listening before blasting into a one-sided conversation.
A guy I was seeing did this, and couldn't work out why I wanted to actually talk to him...
It's called a party. You don't need to be on a game to chat.
I think this is more of a YDI. Granted you were probably exhausted from a 16-hour work day, but it should've been pretty obvious he had a head-set on and was talking to someone else.
16 hours of work? You poor thing...
Keywords
why would you even want to talk to anyone after a 16-hour work day...
Obviously to complain about the 16 hour work day.
