The dispatcher was right. Get the plate number, cross streets, direction of travel, car color make/model, pull over and call 911. Never follow a suspect and do not call/text while driving. You're now a road hazard when you do those things. Thank you for reporting it though. A complaint against the dispatcher will not get them fired or written up. They did the right thing.
Don't call the police everyone always so quick to call the police instead of minding their own business
*your loved one gets run down and killed* Sorry, we saw the driver swerving but we were all minding our own business!
Sorry to break it to you but your dad is an utter moron. Hopefully he was banned from driving before the inevitable could happen.
Drunk driving is a moronic thing to do and anyone who does it should be completely banned from driving, in my opinion. It shouldn't be a case of "mind your own business" when so many lives are at risk.
Because he was stopped before he caused or got in a wreck idiot. Hopefully he's smart enough now not to do it again. Look up statistics for drunk driving you are a complete selfish moron if you don't think drunk drivers should get in trouble.
It's his own fault, it's a stupid thing to do, he didn't get in a wreck this time but next time could be different and it's a felony not a federal charge. It's a state law matter not a federal statute. Your dad deserves to get the charge, he has to know it's a felony as that's a topic covered in testing for and renewing your CDL. He has special privileges by having a CDL, which comes with heightened responsibilities. If he were driving his rig it can cause way more damage and devastation than in a passenger car. That's why it has an automatic upgrade to a felony from a misdemeanor.
You could have been using Bluetooth and speaker phone. They shouldn't have just assumed you had your phone to your ear. Even still, that drunk driver could cause a lot more damage than you and they should have focused on that.
Yea because who cares about the drunk guy that is putting tons of peoples lives at risk. You sir have a phone to your ear. FYL OP
Can't really blame the operator. One time some guy followed a kid he thought was doing something illegal and ended up killing him. I think his last name was Zimmerman - you've probably heard of him.
There's kind of a big difference between shooting a kid and calling 911 on a drunk driver.
Well Then....
The other day I saw a guy in a truck throw a few cans out his window and sooo badly wanted to call it in, but as I was driving I couldn't. One came close to hitting my car, and it was pretty distracting. It sucks how trying to be helpful backfires so often these days. FYL- and remember the plate number if you can, and call it in again when you stop driving maybe?
Lol
In Ontario, Canada, where I live, it's illegal to use anything but hands-free or bluetooth for cell phone calls while driving. If that's the case where you live, then you should have waited, because technically that's an infraction too. Kind of confused though. How'd he know you're driving unless you told him you were, or if he heard background noises of an engine, traffic, wind, etc.?
you should've said they're on Bluetooth and to go eat a dick.

Write down the plate number and give it to the bitch
god damn. Report it and get him fired. That drunk driver could cause way more damage than you could've driving on the phone, and the operator would be partially responsible
