I agree with all the people saying you should sue... or at least threaten to. Dentists and dental surgeons are licensed doctors, that means they that if they screw up like that and IGNORE the fact that the patient's trying to tell them something? They're failing in their duty to the patient. I would report him to whatever local board handles dental licenses in your area, for malpractice, and threaten to sue. Of course, keep in mind that if you do sue, there is always a chance you could lose, so, if they offer an apology and a settlement, frankly I'd myself take it. But either way, maybe it will be a wake-up call to the asshole and next time he'll actually pay the **** attention when a patient starts trying to call his attention to a problem! And then the world would be a better place. :D
Oh man! The same thing happened to me. It was painful! I agree, this is an FML. Only because I know what it's like. I had to get another one pulled after that, and I jumped up and ran down the hall holding my mouth. He was an evil man, I had nightmares after that.
that sucks look on the bright side though, i had cysts behind all 4 of them though
******* dentist did the same thing to me years ago only instead of a cyst he was drilling one of my teeth. I don't know how they figure putting a shot in the right top side of my mouth is going to do a ******* thing when its my lower left tooth, I felt everything that time...
i've never heard of anyone having their wisdom teeth pulled with nothing but novocain-you get gas and feel nothing then you get vicodin and feel even less
This isnt real...this is fake. They put you asleep. They do not use Novocaine to slice open your gum, and remove your teeth and nerves from the bone sockets. This is ridiculous.
#41 I can assure they do indeed do just that. When I got my wisdom teeth taken out the doctor failed to inject all the Novocaine in my jaw and I felt the first side very similarly to the OP. To add further, he had to cut into the gum to do so, and when he went to sew up the incision he accidentally put the surgical needle right through my tongue. #41 there is a very valid reason why people hate dentists.....
You know, I really don't enjoy how often people say that a poster should sue, but it almost seems reasonable in this case. Also always remember that you may not be able to form words with hands in your mouth, but you can still scream.

You survived to write about it, you're fine. But seriously, you should have socked him in the face.
Hmm, can you say lawsuit?
