How does that happen?

Today, I started a home workout routine by following a YouTube video that promised "beginner-friendly" exercises. While attempting a lunge, I lost my balance, fell forward, and knocked over my TV. The TV fell onto my yoga mat, breaking both. Now I have no motivation and no TV. FML

Today, I joined a gym. I’m overweight and not very athletic, so I was nervous. I looked around and tried a treadmill. I start walking at a chill pace, then got ambitious and cranked it to a "light jog." Within seconds, I tripped, fell, and sent the emergency stop button flying across the room. The gym staff ran over and I swear someone said, “Well, at least he’s trying.” FML

Don't see this as a reason to give up. Move to a bigger space next time. Incidentally, how do you break a yoga mat by dropping a TV on it?

“Beginner-friendly” doesn’t mean idiot proof.

I’m very curious about the breaking of a yoga mat myself
