Ironic, isn't it?

Today, my father's company shut down his branch, leaving him without a job. This is followed by a letter from my school's financial aid office, saying I'm not getting a penny because my family's income level is too high. FML

You can appeal by showing proof that your dad lost his job. Happened to me.

Yeah write them a letter explaining things.

Get a job. Some of us had to pay our own way through school. At least you won't spend all week partying and you might try a little harder.

I don't get how this could be a YDI for the people that voted that? How did he bring this on him!?!,

well even if the problem can get resolved... his father still doesn't have a job. Thats an FML by itself

#34 = Asshole. What the hell is that supposed to mean? Racist much?

just as most people are saying re-apply..depends on the school, some like #19 get nothing after, some like #2 do get a benefit of this. try your luck

It might not actually be that easy. You see, the government might consider that you are still wealthy and request you not to get aid. It really depends on your school. I know I dont get free medicine from my drug company because the government specifically told them not too, even though we've been paying into them all my life

#37...also feeling a bit racist today yeah?

#34/37- No. Explain the situation. Usually Financial Aide hears you out. :)
