Yeah, everyone on here is right. I work in the financial aid department at a Big 10 university. All you have to do is fill out an SCA (Special Condition Application) for loss of employment. Just about the easiest financial aid problem to fix, period. Maybe you should've spent your time calling them instead of whining on here.

#22: Wtf? You do know that the college finacial aid has some very high standards you have to meet. Like middle class, still too much of an income. OP: Aw, that is so ironic & sucky. But you can appeal or write a letter, explaining the situation have your dad's old company send a letter or something. Try to find a job though. Good Luck!
