35 - sometimes when you see something going on thats just not right, its okay to step in. Especially if you're a big dude helping a helpless old lady :)
I think you telling your life story and making fun of others who aren't like you makes you a gigantic bitch.
Uhh couldn't the old lady explain the situation to him? Clearing the misunderstanding seems like the most basic thing she could have done after you've helped her.
The person with good intentions was stupid. The lady wasnt calling for help, the op wasnt running with it, and it doesn't sound like the tackler ever said sorry for the misunderstanding. That guy did what he did for the **** of it, maybe he thought he was doing good but he was stupid and for that he needs to try harder. He should have watched and waited a little. His good deed shouldn't go unpunished either.
Today, I.was at the mall, when I saw an old lady getting her suitcase stolen. I tackled the thief and returned the suitcase to the old lady. Turns out, the "thief" was actually carrying the suitcase stolen for the old lady. FML
People are very, very stupid

Don't even attempt to help her cross the road then. You may not live through the experience.
No good deed goes unpunished..
