It's the thought that counts

By slipperyhands - 15/08/2009 07:50 - United States

Today, on my wedding day, when they said, "You may kiss the bride", I swung my wife over in the romantic fashion and went in for the kiss. Unfortunately, my hands were sweaty as I was nervous, and she slipped under my grip. She fell and was knocked unconscious in front of hundreds of people. FML

Uh, why would they get a divorce? That's just stupid...

I'm becoming skeptical about how many of these FMLs involve people becoming unconscious. Where would you have to live to have every single person who ever falls even from the smallest height end up with a concussion?

well the woman got dropped from the man's arms. It doesn't really matter the height of how much you fell, but how HARD you fell la. I am guessing she didn't expect her hubby to drop her, so she didn't brace herself so she must have fell pretty hard. how embarassing though leh

You don't need to fall that far...my mom slipped on a wet floor, hit her head on the ground and was unconscious for a short period of time... more or less depends on how hard you fall and the surface you fall on...

once two of my friends were "kung fu fighting" when one of them got really close with his foot and the other one moved back too far and slipped and got a concussion. we had to keep her up all night so she didnt go into a coma. i once fell out of bed and blacked out. my friend blacked out on a jerky ride in an amusement park. you dont have too fall that far, in fact you dont even have too fall, but you can become unconscious if you hit your head hard enough.

My mother fell on the stairs and ended up breaking her big toe into five pieces and fracturing her elbow, so yes, this very well COULD have easliy happened. Seriously, stop being the boy who cried "fake".

****. You just ruined the, supposedly, "best day of a woman's life".

YDI. That's what you get for showboating.

well that's the most exciting thing I have heard of happening at a wedding yet. Super embarrassing for you not so much for her since she was knocked out and didn't know what was going on.

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds almost exactly like a previous FML posted? I know things can happen twice, but happening almost exactly?

No, you aren't the only one who thinks that. If you read the previous comments, you'd know that.

Yep. EDIT - FML is ******* up again, this was meant to be a reply to #5

She had already said "I do" at that point, so it's all good.

Smooooooooth. Ah well, as long as she still loves you its all good. That'll make for a funny story later on. Fyl, but I think you'll be okay :)
