Kids these days…

Today, since I'm still recovering from my surgery and can't drive, my daughter drove me to the doctor. When I was done and walked outside, she was nowhere to be seen. Then I got a text, saying, "Sorry, I forgot I have to be somewhere." The closest bus stop to our house is miles away. FML

That would be the end of her driving privileges for quite a while if I were you. My mom would have been irate! Then again, I never would have thought about doing that to her.

If I was you, I'd quit paying for her car insurance (if you are) and anything else. Dont bother asking that untrustworthy, selfish twat for Anything ever again.

Everyone is telling you to take away her car, but how old is your daughter? She could be much older, and already moved out.. And they could have just asked her to take them to the doctor. You don't know if she still lives with them or if she's older than 18.

Wow, how incredibly disrespectful!

I'm sure you'll find a suitable punishment, she forget about her "place to be" and needs to take responsibility for that and her injured parent she agreed to drive.

I have no sympathy for your daughter's need to be somewhere. I'm the driver in my family. not mention her actions are really ******* irresponsible. your daughter is a bitch and shouldn't have a car...

Yep,that single action warrants the cancellation of her license and making sure she never drives again(sarcasm)

It's in times like this, we're saying in our minds. Dam I wish star trek was really, I would just beam (teleport) home.

Regardless of the daughters age, it was a bitch move. She could of cancelled the other place she had to be at, I'm sure they would have understood. I'm married and out of my parents home with children, I would have postponed/rescheduled any other plans knowing one of my parents needed my help! No excuse on the daughters behalf, shame on her.

Really didn't even have to cancel. Just call and say she was going to be late. When I was recovering from surgery last year my husband took the morning off of work to drive me for my follow up. It's not that hard to explain to someone the situation and be a little late. Op hope you feel better soon. I know stress does not help the recovery process. I swear with almost everything going out patient three days for surgeries people sometimes forget the strain it still puts on the body.

Wow, ask me why I don't want kids. Raise them up for over 2 decades, always putting them on the top list of priorities, and 99.999999% are all idiots doing whatever it takes to hurt us. No kids for me please. I'm sorry. -_-

but who's gonna do your chores and give you extra tax return money when you claim them as dependents? o.O

Well while I agree with this...I have 3 children that everyone envy's because when they were little I was always consistent and I demand respect. I don't have to whip them but they know I'll be taking the electronics away quick. If momma ain't happy...ain't nobody happy! You have to teach your kids to respect you. It's all a balance! However, I have to say if you feel that way kids are probably not for you. Very responsible to know you have limits!
