What's with these people and getting cake when they're dumped?? I mean, yeah, FYL for having to go all the way there to get dumped, but at least his mom made a nice gesture. My last ex-boyfriend took me out to dinner to dump me, and I ended up having to pay for both of us... I would have much preferred being given cake :-)

Your ex seemed to be nice enough about it. He did it in person and you got a cake out of the deal. There's really no painless way to break up with someone, and I don't think anyone could reasonably expect better than this.

Wow, she must have really disliked you to do something like that. That's just rubbing it in, it's not sweet or kind. She wanted you gone and was celebrating. I wonder why she disliked you so much? #94, that would make it look like she makes fun of the nice gesture her mother made. If she (the mother) would hear about it I bet she'd be hurt. Don't hurt nice mom's, because... well, they're nice, not all moms are like that. and #30, I bet the guy didn't even know his mom is making the cake. And if he did, it must've been the mother's idea and most of the times it's better to let mom's do the baking part anyways.
