Today, my boyfriend invited me over, so I went, not thinking anything of it. To my surprise, he broke up with me. I was pretty upset, and as I was leaving his mom handed me a box. When I got home, I opened it. His mom had baked me a break-up cake. FML

Today, my boyfriend, and best friend, had baked a cake, and wouldnt tell anyone who it was for. When I asked he said I'd know soon. He met me after class to break up with me and offered me the cake to make me feel better. FML

Today, I got a phone call from my mother asking me if I was okay. Confused, I asked her what she meant. She then told me that my boyfriend had broken up with me, and she just wanted to make sure I was handling it alright. I had to find out my relationship was over from my mom. FML

The cake is a lie. Some mothers are really strange with breakups. My ex's mom grounded him for over half the summer when he dumped me and she got me $50 dollars worth of stuff that weekend. That's really sweet though that she did that. I'm sorry about your breakup though.

Hardly an FML, it could've been much worse. For example, he could have broken up with you and NOT give you cake. Or get his name tattoo'd on you before breaking up. At least you got cake. Was it good?

#24 - I was with this guy for about three years, and he dumped me in the middle of the mall and took off. I called his mom crying and she was like, "I'm sorry he did that! I can't believe it!" The reason mainly he broke up with me is because I didn't want to have sex until I was married. She thought it was really immature of him and she really liked me. She thought we'd get married someday.

I think the actual FML is that the exboyfriend didn't bother making the breakup cake himself but instead got his mom to do it for him. He could have at least put forth the effort himself but was too lazy.
