Today, I was grounded by my mom because I had slept in past 11, when she wanted me to wake up at seven to do chores. According to her logic, I should have seen the note she left on the counter earlier this morning. FML

Today, I woke up early, went to the gym, then came home and showered. When I went into my room to change, my mom woke up and started pounding on my door, screaming about how lazy and useless I was for sleeping so late. When I tried to tell her otherwise, she grounded me for "talking back". FML

Today, my mom scolded me and threatened to ground me for coming home past midnight. Normally, it wouldn't be unreasonable, except for the fact that I'm 24 years-old, and that my parents live with me, in my own house. FML

Today, my mom took my cell to work with her. When she got home later, she scolded me for not answering her calls. When I pointed out that she'd taken it, she grounded me for "talking back". FML

Today, my mother woke me up by loudly vacuuming the house. I had to work the next morning, so I asked her what she was thinking. She told me that if I was really tired and needed sleep, I wouldn't have woken up. It was 3 AM. FML

Today, I wanted to do something nice for my mom. So, while she was sleeping, I cleaned the whole house for her and even made her breakfast. A few minutes later, she came downstairs and yelled at me to keep it down because she was trying to sleep. FML

Today, my parents made me wake up at 7 a.m., like every morning. When I woke up exhausted, my mom rolled her eyes and said, "It’s called going to bed earlier." I went to bed at 10 p.m. last night. I fell asleep at 5 am. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people, and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

What... well thats some messed up logic and for the people saying that she should get off her butt are wrong cause teens need satday/sunday sleep ins and im sure you have slept in before -.- also, ur mum needs to meet mine, i once got in trouble for taking to long to drive home -.- i was walkin and dont have a license :-|

I think we are probably missing the previous discussion along the lines of: Mother: What are you doing wasting your life rotting in bet 'till late morning. Kid: But I need a lie-in on Sunday 'cos I work so hard in the week. Mother: OK, but 11am is just lazy and anyway I might have chores for you on a Sunday. Do I wake you up at 7am when I go out, or can you get yourself up by 9:30? Kid: I'll get up. Mother: You better. I'll leave you a note......

Dude!!! Of course your mom left you a note, she didn't want to wake you up. I think it was a very nice gesture on her part to let you sleep and write you a note instead of waking you up to tell you to do chores. So now man up, go up to her and thank her for letting you sleep until 11. Granted there was no way you would ever see that note but still, she really is a nice and considerate mom
