Wait so you are taking care of your baby trying to get it to calm down and you have time to FML?
as so many have said, alarms don't go off that long unless there's a malfunction. aftermarket alarms only go on continuously for maybe 10 minutes... factory alarms that just honk would have a cutoff eventually as well, though it might be longer. and for people saying 45 degree angle... stop stealing cars. also, there's something called a tilt sensor on any alarm worth its salt, so lifting a car will actually make it go off.
Did you go see WHY the car alarm was going off? If they aren't home, chances are it didn't go off on accident.
I find 3 hours hard to believe. 99% of car alarms go off in 3-5 mins to preserve the battery.
The battery should've died after like the first hour or so.... Depends on how strong the battery is though.
Hope you called a tow truck.

I would call the police. They have ways to break into cars and could probably turn off the alarm.
Go break that car up! Although on a more serious note maybe you could try get in contact with your neighbors or ring the police to try sort it out.
