that is ridiculous. besides the fact that you are a vegetarian, something they should consider before trying to cook you dinner, (although they might not have known, to be fair) it IS very rude to KILL someone's animal without ASKING, even if they thought it was a 'food' animal.

It's so unbelievable how ignorant some of the people commenting here are. I'm not even going to bother rebuting any of it. I'll just give a top stupidity award to whichever idiot it was that gave us this gem, "Eggs are meat dumbass." Dumbass? Look who's talking.

While it sucks, I'm sure they're decent people (if they aren't, you likely wouldn't have let them near your chickens, and obviously they didn't know you because if they had they'd known about your pets). Likely, they were horrified when they realized they'd butchered Clucky and Scratchy, and not just farm animals. Though it does seem a little odd they'd kill someone else's farm-type animals without asking first.

you probably shouldn't be vegetarian, naming and getting emotionally attached to food. haha.
