Today, my mom walked into the bathroom while I was taking a pic to send to my long-distance boyfriend. She then told me I would go to hell for flaunting myself at guys. I was fully clothed, sending a pic to see if he liked my new haircut. That and I'm 21. FML

It's your right to send him pictures. She has no say in it, especially if you wanted to see if he liked your haircut. Just ignore her.

Everyone is saying how either A: she should have moved out already or B: she might not be able to afford it so **** off. IMO she should probably try to get the funds together to move out, OR learn to deal with her mother down her back at all times. It's really her decision, I'm 19 and managed to move out, and to all those narrow minded people who don't think she could move out, roommates make things a lot less expensive.

So? Who cares if you moved out at 19, many people can't afford to do it even with a room mate. It's cute you think pointing out reasons why she could still be at home with her mother as being narrow minded. It's not narrow minded, it's the truth.

It also depends entirely on where you live. When I lived in a small town in NC I moved out and got my own place at 20 however now that I live in Houston I can't afford my own place at 23 because everything costs so much more but minimum wage is only ten cents higher.

what i was really trying to get at is that its her decision what she does and people should leave her alone. and i was stating that for some its not impossible to move out such as myself.

Most of the guys I'm with are long distance. There's literally nobody around here that interests me, besides the guy I currently live with. There's nothing wrong with long-distance relationships. Dear OP, your mom is crazy. FYL

Sometimes local guys move away. I'm in a long distance relationship right now because my boyfriend of 2 years had to move for a really great job opportunity, and we weren't about to break up just because we can't see each other every day. I don't see how that's a "massive fail", personally.
