Money! Get away

By Disgruntled - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States - Jamestown

Today, it's been exactly two years since I got my last raise, and the amount I'd got still allows me the luxury of being able to afford a Snickers bar every month. FML

If you don't want the bar.....I'll have it.

Your not yourself when you're hungry. So I guess you're never yourself.

Polish up your résumé and start looking around. A shitty raise means one of two things: your company is doing poorly, or they are doing well and don't think much of you. Either (ee) way, you may want to consider jumping ship before you are made to walk the plank.

Seems like the only logical solution would be to become a Somalian pirate. I see no other way that would help.

So that is what happened to Carlton. I always wondered what happened to him after the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air show ended.

It's not unusual to see me cryyyy ohh I wanna die!

My pay cut equals what I would spend on 100 snickers bars per week.

All the "be grateful you have a job" can stfu. Bosses today are becoming bigger assholes by firing people to save money, then piling that missing person' job responsibilities onto other remaining employees for no extra pay. They treat us like shit cause the economy is in the shitter and can get away with it cause good jobs are scarce.

I think you should have gotten a raise by now. 2 years is too long for no raise and especially when you don't even make enough to support a family.

That's where you're going wrong - Snickers only satifies hunger, change up to a Mars, it helps you work, rest and play - 3 for 1 deal. Sorry about the fact you haven't had a raise, but if you work for a small company they're probably struggling too. However, if you work for a large corp. then I do agree with you, fyl.
