I'm so tired I misread parrot as parents, which made the rest of the post so confusing I had to re-red it.
Try this, it worked for me when I had the exact same problem. Take 3 of those orange flavoured vitamin C tablets. The "Sunshine" brand is best, but any that tastes like orange is fine. Dissolve the tablets in 1 and a half cups of tap water in a clear glass. The tablets dissolve faster if they are crushed, or the water is warm. It's important you use a clear glass, as you'll see later. Put the glass down next to the parrot, and tap the side of the glaas with your finger. When you get the parrot's attention, dip your finger in the water and place a drop on its beak, just below the nostrils, so it can smell the orange scent. Tap your finger against the side of the glass again. Repeat these last three steps until the parrot understands what you are showing it. When the parrot finally sticks its head in the glass to investigate, grab it by the neck and hold its head underwater until it stops breathing. (This is why you use a transparent glass, so you don't have to keep pulling it out to check.) No more shrieking!
my bird does the same for egg :| @ least urs isn't a cannibal
Go to the shop! Or blag it with Orange juice lol
I just joined so I could let you know that too much citrus is bad for parrots, an occasional treat is ok, but Polly will get a tummy ache if you give her too much.
What's orange and sounds like a parrot? A carrot. Thank you. I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress.
Then gag the parrot genius

Be gentle when you break the news to it, but the parrot needs to go to rehab. It might be screaming now, but the next step is orange juice injections.
Polly want an orange
