This really needs a follow up. If you said "Hey, I want to talk to you about something serious, could you please stop your game as soon as possible?" and he's still playing hours later, then FYL for having an inconsiderate ass of a boyfriend and you're better off without him. If you decided the two of you needed to talk and your first course of action was to turn his game off for him without giving him a chance to save or get to a safe place or finish the quest he was on, then YDI, you deserved to get dumped. He can do so much better.
I've been suggesting to fml for months to add in a "This needs a follow up" button, but my recommendations often get moderated instead and disappear. Hoping I don't hey in trouble again, I swear I mean no disrespect ?
Yeah I agree. This definitely needs a follow up. Because from what you wrote, you sound like a whiny, immature girl who didn't get her way, so she turned off her bf game to get attention. But, if you'd been trying forever to get him to talk to you and he kept blowing you off in favor of his XBox, then yeah, I might've done the same thing. But if it gets to a point in a relationship where you have to do drastic things to get even a conversation going, then you really don't have a relationship at all and it's time to move on.
grow up ppl. a good relationship leads to more Xbox playing time. a happy wife is a happy life or in this case a happy gf leads to a happy life
I hate this saying... I mean yeah, he makes me happy and Im more eager to make him happy, but usually when I hear it its from self-centered bitches who don't give a shit about their husband and are just using him for stuff... Marriage takes sacrifice on both parts so everyone can be happy!!
Your argument is flawed in many ways, the least of which is that now he has much more time for gaming. Seriously, though, imagine you're reading a book and someone takes it out of your hands and closes it. The post contains exactly one disrespectful act, and OP did it.
Dick move anyone that games knows that's the worst thing possible not only for your score or game, but for the device itself.
Turning off a console is bad for it?
Yes. Not properly turning a console off can corrupt all the data on it.
Especially if you're in the middle of saving. Not only would you lose the entire save file but it could corrupt the system as well.
obviously. but just turning it off on the off button will just shut it down out put out on standby. doubt she went through the trouble of pulling it's power cord out of the wall
The vote depends on the scenario, if you at first politely asked him to pause or finish the game so you could talk to him and he didn't listen, then I would vote YLS. If you decided to turn his game off without warning, then YDI. Edit: #14 beat me to it.
YDI - You don't interrupt a person to have a heavy talk about getting more serious (whatever that means). That's a convo you both need to step into in the right frame of mind, and enough time to fully discuss it. Not a convo you demand the other person participates in at the drop of a hat, and only at a time convient for you. Ultimatums (shutting off systems) get adverse responses. You got what you asked for.
Not only does that show a blatant disrespect for what he was doing, it also displays your immaturity. You are not his mother, you could have waited for him to finish, or expressed a dire need to talk to him. Considering that your unwarranted act provides insight into your true character, I would have dumped you as well.
Well that was uncalled for, get ****** OP.

Honestly that would piss me off, but gaming is my hobby. You could have been mature and just asked him to pause his game.
Don't get in the way of a man and his xbox smh
