Today, I was wearing my favorite tube top to the mall when a girl walked up and said, "I have that exact same skirt, why are you wearing it as a top?" I've been wearing it for two years, and no one's bothered to tell me. FML

To #1: it can be really easy. esspecially these days where skirt can be mistaken for belts. And to OP, youre not from Burlington are you? Cause I saw someone wearing what was clearly a skirt as a top a few months ago...

Who the hell is rude enough to go up to someone and have a go at them for how they wear their clothes, anyway? I'd have told her to mind her own damn business. Also, you see in fashion magazines all the time how they turn clothes into entirely new outfits just by wearing them in a different way and it always looks awesome. **** HER life for having no creativity.

I once bought a skirt and as I walked up to the counter there was a mannequin next to it, wearing it as a top. I have seen a lot of skirt/tops like this lately, its not uncommon. They fit differently than a tubetop, of course, which I would hate to wear as a skirt. Too slinky and I think it looks strange; ive seen people change by pulling down their tube top into a skirt and putting on another top. Personally, I think tube tops looks bad as skirts, but I also think its awesome that you can wear one item of clothing in more than one way.

Maybe your friends didn't know either. And the only reason why that stranger knew is because she has the same one. But it happens, at a store I can't tell the difference sometimes.
