Its not like you actually got hired. It could have been a lot worse.
First off, it doesn't matter what college you go to. Second, many students find the sudden "shock" of the real world difficult to sum. Third, it doesn't matter if you got a 2.0 or a 4.0 in college, managers are only looking for skills, not book smarts. Having good grades one thing, but actually applying what you learned is completely different. Fourth, and last, no matter what field you go into, the one thing none of it prepares you for is working in a group. When I was in college, I only took one speech class/group project class, and have found that I seriously lacked in that area. A job will be only as successful as your communication skills, and if you lack that, you're going to find it very hard to move up. So just hang in there dude. Just enjoy the fact that you're fresh out of college, and you really have no skills. The job market is currently looking for skilled employees and entry level jobs are getting harder to find. Just keep looking, and I'm pretty sure by end of the year you'll get something. Also, try out careerbuilder or monster, they might not be great, but they do help in your search.

ahahahahha lmao at #13 mostly because i'm really stressed because i've been trying to maintain my 4.0 since...well...since school started for me basically but it's also kind of a bitter laugh because (and i'm not sure of this) isn't a 3.5 like A's and B's?because it's so unfair that colleges and a lot of job applications require grades that a lot of people can't handle (no i'm not saying i'm better than other people...on the contrary i've had to give up a lot of my social life and my gf broke up with me because i can get so stressed over this stuff) so basically , from what i've heard, you have to become a nerd (like me xD) just to get a decent job...so dude, don't feel bad...like everyone says, this economy sucks right now for eveyone everywhere, and i think it's awesome that you passed college so quickly!(so nervous that i won't pass high school) so, kudos to you =p and sorry for rambling on everyone Dx...i'm just bored out of my mind atm
maybe you should have stayed in school for another year.
Um... guys, 3.5 is not an A average. It's maybe a B+, depending on your school. OP- I've got a 3.92 from an Ivy League school and I'll probably still have trouble finding a job when I graduate. It's just the way it is these days. Keep looking.
its ok, dont blame yourself blame the poor timing of your birth, this economy isnt so good atm.
all I have to say is welcome to today's economy...there are no jobs...
A 3.5 is a perfect mix of A's and B's. Of course, there's also the (likely) possibility that there's a blend of other grades in the midst. I'm currently sitting around a 2.7, which isn't too good, but I had one term of 18 credits where my GPA was something like a 1.6. Luckily for me, I'm not talking Physics nor Calculus again.

good catch, at least. imagine if you went and were scammed. THAT would have been a real FML. This is an FML with a bright side
