Nice try

Today, after two months of unemployment, I got a call from a marketing firm offering me an interview for an entry-level position. While Googling the company, I discovered it's a scam. I graduated college in 3 years with a 3.5 GPA, and the only interview I can get is at a fake company. FML

good catch, at least. imagine if you went and were scammed. THAT would have been a real FML. This is an FML with a bright side

#22: you're in middle school. please don't compare your grades with college grades. college isn't easy. and by the looks of it, you can't even come up with the right GPA, so maybe you should study your math more.

Chin up. There are a lot of us in the same boat. I have a few promising prospects and I feel blessed. Back a year or two ago, graduating from college with a handful of solid offers was the norm. Just tough times that we'll get through. Stay positive, and good luck! You're not alone.

I've seen this before. In fact, I worked for one of those companies before. Not to sound like someone who's completely brainwashed by it, but it's not a scam. It's kinda difficult having to do business to business sales, but not a scam. People just report it as a scam because they hear about an attempt to be a manager and see having to sell people things like office supplies, phone service, or in my case, and energy supplier. Sorry to ruin the flow, but let the verbal assault on me begin.

#50, a 3.5 in high school is way different from a 3.5 in college. Because college professors don't hold your hand and help you out. So don't be very suprised if that 4.2 (Oh, the weighted GPA. Such bullshit.) turns into a 3.0 or something really fast.

#49 is an idiot. What's between an A- and a B+? An A. No minuses or pluses, just an A. An A is good. There are lots of idiots on here.

#50.. thats not true at all schools apparently. 3.4 is an A- at my university. it really depends on where you go to school and your professor's grading scales. 3.5 is good. not fantastic. and it is extremely difficult to get a 4.0 in college. your grades are dependent on your professor's opinions. In high school it's off of homework and tests. I have busted my ass in my college courses and got only A-'s because my professors refused to give As because "no one is perfect"

Did you by any chance go to South Harmon Institute of Technology?

Let me guess, Vector Marketing?

Should have stayed in school longer and gotten a real GPA. At my school, 3.8 is Dean's list, and that's an IVY.
