Nice try

Today, after two months of unemployment, I got a call from a marketing firm offering me an interview for an entry-level position. While Googling the company, I discovered it's a scam. I graduated college in 3 years with a 3.5 GPA, and the only interview I can get is at a fake company. FML
I agree, your life sucks 55 132

good catch, at least. imagine if you went and were scammed. THAT would have been a real FML. This is an FML with a bright side

That sucks :( though this economy makes it rough all over. Best of luck finding a real interview.

Vector got me, too!! To those who are GPA-bashing: WHat the hell are you doing on FML? Don't you have something productive to do? Let us slightly-smarter-than-average people live our lives!! OP: It's bad for anyone and everyone. They aren't hiring kids, the cheapest labor around. You know it's bad when they can't hire bagboys at the supermarket anymore.

well that's your fault. WHEN YOU'RE JUST LYING AROUND, IT'S BOUND TO HAPPEN if you want a REAL job then you should be the one to go out there to get one

Wow, if I don't get paid I don't work. I will not work for free.

stop complaining on the internet and find a job.

It doesn't matter what grades you got. All that matters is a degree and experience. You're probably just another college graduate that doesn't know the first thing about working in the real world. I'm only a college junior but I'm already have a career job in my field ONLY because of my experience (2 years of internships, 1 year of entry level work). If you can't find anything in the next month, you'll need to start aiming lower (Starbucks, McDonalds, Best Buy) while you try to find a internship (hopefully paid). Because to a hiring manager, you're one step above worthless without experience.

you cant wait for jobs to find you just because you have a degree and a good gpa. you have to go out and put forth effort to find a job. just like everyone else.

Yeah, sorry man. Lots of scammers out there. Good luck with the job hunt.
