The thief is an idiot. But it was your good fortune =)
Definitely follow up with a different officer, and complain about the original ones. I very much agree that you most likely know whoever did it, so you may want to be stealthy and check out all your friends, family members, and ex's. In case it's a creepy stalker, please go and change your locks and beef up your home security! Stay safe, and good luck. I hope you get your stuff back, I can't even imagine having to replace all my clothes.
Thaaaaats the Nevada I know!
My house was broken into months ago what was stolen? My remote. Now every now and then the guy drives by changing the channels.
The perfect crime is one that no one believes anybody would ever do.
What the hell kind of cops are these? I'm not even a cop and I still know that most thieves are idiots. The only thing that surprises me here is that these officers can be so clueless.
Troll burglers. It works, too. In minecraft and Skyrim I just go and steal everyone random shit, like cups, books, and when I can, goddamn food.

How could the police not believe you, the police have to help. Try asking for different officers to report this to.
Looks like you've really been stripped naked.
