If she doesn't like looking fat then maybe she should lay off the doughnuts and invest in a gym membership. Unless she has a medical condition, of course.
There is this woman I work with who was holding a box of homemade doughnuts while complaining to me about how hard it is to lose weight, and that she needed to "try cardio" because that would "help her get ready for beach season." People these days....
Less than 1% of people who are obese, are obese due to a medical condition, so I highly ******* doubt that.
You should threaten to tag her in the photo!
...as "the land whale"
"Hey everyone! Want to see the pics of the beached whale that got washed ashore at my wedding?"
That's terrible. And like someone previously said: don't allow her to view those photos. I think that is incredibly selfish of her, sorry OP.
It's hard to "crop out" a water buffalo!
@perdix LOL!!!
She doesn't have any legal recourse unless the photographer was trespassing on her property to take the pictures, the pictures contain something inherently illegal, the pictures were taken with a view to slander or defamation, or you intend to use the pictures for commercial purposes. I am guessing since they are your wedding photos none of those scenarios apply.
she can sue because legally if someone dpes not want their picture online, they can pull it down. that's why schools require parent's permission in case they take a picture, put it on their yearbook/website
I believe that isn't an issue here as she willingly posed for a picture. You only sign a waiver for minors as they are not adults yet. Besides, I'm sure everyone knew these wedding pictures would end up viewed by somebody. Might as well sue the photographer for putting them in his portfolio. Most need examples of their work to get new clients.
@48 We aren't talking about minors here. That is an entirely different rule book. The OP does not need her mother-in-law's consent to post her wedding pictures, even if her mother-in-law is in them.
@54 Slander (or libel) requires that the statements made be untrue. Defamation requires malice. There is nothing untrue or malicious about wedding photos.
as #60 said that isn't slander. Even if she claimed it was, having an expert witness (doctor) in court say she was obese would ruin her case.
I was using the school thing as an example, but maybe that's just my area. Even if you're posing for the picture, if you don't want your picture published, they have to take it down because then they are eligible for a lawsuit
simple thenn dont pose for a picture
I have actually seen a lot of cases where people pose for picture but refuse them to be posted anywhere. It's a waste of everyone's time but it still happens

She's a huge bitch.
You can use a feature on Facebook that blocks a certain person from viewing a specific picture. Try that maybe?
