Children aren't stupid. They notice things some parents don't. My mom told me things when I asked her. I knew about sex and menstration by the age of 7. Not all the details, but the general facts. I would understand though why you told her that. You want her to just enjoy her childhood and not ruin it by thinking about what happens when she gets older.
THREATEN TO PUT YOUR DAUGHTER IN DIAPERS IF SHE DOESN'T STOP, AND MAKE GOOD ON YOUR THREAT IF SHE DOESN'T.
im sorry, but are any of you who are telling this woman how to parent her own child actually parents? or even over the age of 18? (please, for those of you who are, dont get mad...i know youre out there and most of you probably even agree with me) if you dont have a child you dont know what its like to parent, so STFU.
lolz im sorry i shouldnt b laughin but u gotta. if a had a daughter i'd prob tell her da same. this would b one of the time parent would say 'i'll tell u when u get older'
true
yourejoking: I'm a parent and tell my daughter the truth (appropriate to her age) with any question she asks me.
Actually my mom did something similar to what you guys were suggesting when I was around that age. She told me it was a grown-up thing, but then I was curious and found hers in the bathroom drawer (clean, in the package). I figured out they were similar to diapers for mommys, and for 7 years I called them her lady diaper. Including after I knew what they were, lol. So make your choice, but remember kids get curious!

That is why you don't dumb things down for kids, it will always come back to bite you in the butt. You should have told her it was a grown up woman thing she will learn about later.
That's why you cut the bullshit when it comes to kids. Just tell them the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
