Today, my 5-year-old daughter saw a pad commercial. She asked me what they were, but I didn't think she was old enough to hear it. I just told her that they're like diapers for mommies. Now she won't stop telling people that mommy wears diapers. FML

LOL Not an FML. My mother told me pads were diapers for grown up women because of their periods and then explained what period was... "diaper" is somehow an appropriate word, young children may understand it better than if you say nothing. Just try to explain her that they are different kind of diapers.

YDI for lying to your kid. She trusted you and believed you. You told her you wear diapers, now she thinks and believes you were diapers. Now she'll be confused when she learns the truth, and wonder why you lied to her. Just tell the truth. It's like parents telling their kids santa is real. Then the kids will either become dumber and believe in santa or they'll not trust their parents the same.
