Oops

By Toothy. - 25/07/2009 04:21 - Australia

Today, I went to the dentist to have two cavities filled. I hate going to the dentist. After he'd started drilling, I heard a "clunk" noise followed by an "Oops." My dentist had cut my tooth in half. Now I have to get surgery to have the tooth extracted. FML

Why bitch about it? You can sue him for a lot of money.

YDI for hating the dentist. They're not bad people.

moonsolomon: Of course the dentist knew the tooth was flawed. That's why he/she was doing the filling.

I forgot how there not people...

I can see why you hate dentists. That one sounds like a loser. Try to find one who hasn't been huffing the laughing gas before he works on you.

Wowowww. Myy comment was moderated. I still call fake.

You had to have cavities filled. Why was he drilling? Was it to clean the decay out? Even that doesn't make sense. But, if he really was drilling for some reason, unless your cavity was very deep and expansive and the drill accidentally just pushed through the other side (consequently cleaving your tooth in half), how did he 'cut your tooth in half'? Your tooth must have been very decayed and weak to simply break like that. Also, it seems like a tooth this decayed should be extracted and replaced, anyway. This whole thing sounds odd to me. However, if it's true, I'm very sorry to hear about it, and it sounds very painful and expensive. Good luck and please take care of your teeth!

The dentist uses a drill type tool to clean off all of the decay so that it won't continue when he fills it. I have had a few cavities before and that is always what he does.
