You couldn't have been panicking too much if they were able to take the blood. I call fake.
well they certainly didn't steal your blood. last october i gave blood in one of those vans that comes to colleges. i was fine for a bit and then i felt so nauseous that i thought i was going to explode. i almost ripped the needle out myself. but the nurses calmed me down and even though i had to breath out of a bag and had to lay there 10 minutes after and i still only got 5 feet away from the van before i passed out i don't harbor any ill feelings towards the red cross. i don't plan on donating again but for heaven sakes you signed the paper work and you did a good thing get over yourself.
The place I donate blood would never do that. I'm hella afraid of needles and they couldn't get my vein once, they asked if they could try the other arm, and I said no, they were okay with that. I freak out the whole time I'm giving blood though, I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have a panic attack with that giant needle in your arm.
suck it up wussy
Ugh I agree with those above: people say "panic attack" when all they really meant was "I'm a giant chicken." Panic disorder is a REAL THING. And it's dumbasses like the OP who trivialize it and desensitize people to it. You didn't have a panic attack. You saw a needle and got scared. Had you had an actual panic attack, you would not have been able to instantaneously calm down. You may have thrown up or passed out. You probably would have needed medication. As is, you're just an idiot.
Um... they stole the blood that you had gone to donate? The panic attack part does suck... but just because you freak out, doesn't suddenly change the fact that you're donating blood to them stealing it.
Wow, that sucks. Panic disorder can manifest itself in many different ways...True, he/she could have just been afraid, but there's no reason for anyone to say that the OP is a chicken.

HAHAHA!! I'm a fan of any FML that says "the Red Cross stole a pint of my blood..." Good times.
i gave blood in novermber last year and i can faintly remember a clause in all that paperwork that said if at any time you change your mind about giving they will stop the procedure. it sucks that they did that to you. i hope it doesnt deter you from giving blood in the future. its for a good cause. and no. 6 you are a jerk : /
