Your parents now can get fully drunk together in a bar outside and since you can now legally drive, it's your job to take them home safely. I'm guessing they waited a long time for this! :D
I don't know about everywhere else but in ontario there has to be a person who has had there full license for at least five years in the front seat with you and they have to have a 0 BAC. I think this is very similar to most other country's and their laws. This only applies to a new driver of course.
Actually ur wrong about Ontario the fully licensed person just can't be over 0.08 BAC any driver under 22 must have 0 BAC tho
#55, in India it is legal to drive with a learner's permit only if you have someone with a valid driver's license in the passenger seat. People may not always follow such laws here but that doesn't mean these laws don't exist.
Take a video of them drunk, save it and threaten to show it if they ever do that again. Best way to get them back for using you
And what is he supposed to do with that? Lol
As much as you want to be Eminem, you can't.
Your parents have made massive sacrifices for you all their lives and you finally had the chance to pay it back a little.
The parents chose to make those "sacrifices" when they chose to have a child. No child should ever feel in debt to their parents for raising them. It is not like our children just show up at the door one day and demand we take care of them. Sorry OP, your parents are idiot and selfish. FYL indeed.
I somewhat agree with your statement.OP's parents were very wrong in their actions so I'm not supporting that. When a child becomes an adult they should feel an amount of debt to their parents in the form of gratitude and possibly taking care of their parents when they need it.The parents raise and sacrifice for the child and then one day the roles reverse.OP is still a child now though so it doesn't really apply yet.
No, still don't think kids should feel in debt to their parents. Gratitude yes, but not debt. I want my kids to take care of me when I need it because they love me and care about me, not because they feel like they owe me. Having debt involves a bank or something like that, not parents.
I said debt in the form of gratitude.I understand what you're saying though.I don't want my kids to feel they are in debt to me either.I,on the other hand, feel I owe my parents a lot.Had it not been for their continued sacrifices for me(even to this day) I would have nothing.I couldn't call it a debt because I can never repay what they have given me.I can only do my best to return the favor. That is the point I was trying to make.
I know in my state the person teaching has to be both sober and not on the phone. be careful and safe. :)
My parents hired a driving instructor to teach me while I had my learner's permit; he read his newspaper the whole time. Didn't even look up when I was getting beeps by the angry drivers surrounding me! :P
I my state a permit is a liscense, a "learner's" permit is a "learner's liscense. Two words, same meaning. Happens in english a lot. OP said permit not learner's permit.
here a permit is just a permit. you get a provisionals when you pass your test.
#33 I can understand the confusion with the words but if the OP was allowed to drive without his parents being in the car then why not drop them off and pick them up later vs having to wait in the car?

Pretty sure it's still illegal, since you only have a permit and not a license. They're suppose to be instructing you, not using you. Parents these days.
Just wait until you become the errand boy. Fun times...
