Heads up, A drivers permit doesn't allow for the supervisor to be intoxicated.
My parents did the same thing only thing is I got pulled over by a cop & was checked to see if I was drinking ...& I passed
hey, that is like babysitting. Charge them for your service.
Wow what jerks. But congrats. Maybe next time threaten to leave them.
We did the same thing to our kids. 15 years of takin care of them, its time for some return favors.
Technically, that is illegal, since you are on your learner's permit. They have to be as able to drive as though they themselves are driving during this time period. If you get pulled over while doing one of those "Designated driver" things, your parents still get a DUI, and you lose your permit for not having a licensed driver with you.
I'm on the same boat you are my friend. Except my parents don't get drunk. Just too many drinks to drive safety.
That's still 'drunk' according to the law :p...
That's still illegal. With a learners permit you have to have an adult over 21 sober next to you. So even if they are still in the car, if you were to get pulled over and the cops found that they were drunk both of you would be in a lot of trouble. Probably more so them. If I were you I'd just refuse to take them anywhere when they're like that, OP. Sorry your parents are being so irresponsible.
...wow. Sorry OP, I can honestly say that I would be a lot less willing to "practice" driving with them anymore.
drive off & say they told you to leave. if theyre drunk they won't remember not saying it :)

Pretty sure it's still illegal, since you only have a permit and not a license. They're suppose to be instructing you, not using you. Parents these days.
Just wait until you become the errand boy. Fun times...
