Today, I was really hungry at work, and my stomach growled loudly. One of my co-workers heard it and thought it was a cat. Ashamed, I played dumb and we ended up spending twenty minutes looking for a cat that I knew didn't exist. FML

I hope you'll just be more honest from meow on.

I don't see why you'd be embarrassed about your stomach growling. You're only human afterall.

Ashamed isn't the right word, it's more like embarrassed. Idk why you would be either though, it's not that big if a deal. Say you're really hungry.

One night I was babysitting my neice and nephew all day. I went home when the kids went to church. my uncle then told me about two days later that they told my neice and nephew I was hiding, and they looked for me for over an hour.

Why would you play dumb? You should have said that it was your stomach. Everyone's stomach growls.

Wow! You took the "that's my story and am sticking to it" to a whole new level!!! You must become an actor.

Maybe your stomach scared the cat away...that's why you can't find it

Why were you ashamed that your stomach growled because you were hungry??

In life I've learned that some of the silly things we worry about are based specifically on WHO we're worried about. Either you really like this person and were SUPER nervous for some reason about being hungry, or the person you were around is just kinda lame and gave you the impression somewhere down the line that you can't be comfortable around them. It's easier to just be you and be happy, if someone is going to make fun of you for your stomach growling then you really needn't listen to their opinion at all, ever probably :P

if you were that hungry, were did you get the energy to look for a non existent cat?
