Haha awesome dude!
This fml can be translated to this. My boyfriend that I never really liked broke up with me today and I had to spend 30 bucks. FML...you dont deserve it but there are just too many of this type of fml
Your boyfriend is an ass and a loser. Isn't there a website where you can put his face and what he did on there to warn other people away from him? It's one thing if you earn more money than he does or have less expenses because then it would make sense that he couldnt' afford dates like that. Even in that circumstance, you could offer free or low-cost dates such as hiking, fishing, joining a book club, going on picnics, etc. You actually "won" because he's not worth your time. ug.
it sounds like the OP is upset because her bf knew he was going to be breaking up with her but allowed her to pay for the "date" and conveniently didnt have any cash. yeah, its fine for both partners to share in the paying of dates because its a relationship, but she should not have had to pay if he was breaking up with her. "Well, i financed my own breakup date" is what the FML is...not that she had to finance a date. anyways...although you may feel like crap right now, life will get better. cheer up :)
you're better off without him
Sounds to me like you're better off without the loser

Maybe part of why he broke up with you is you seem like you expect to always get paid for, treated, and funded on a date. Depending on how long you two have been together for some guys this can get annoying and seem greedy of you after awhile. Don't get me wrong I'm a girl, but yeah I don't just assume my boyfriend will pay for everything. I bring my money and I am fully willing and able to pay for myself on a date it doesn't bother me. If he offers to pay though I'm fine with that too. Also, I offer to pay for him and I both sometimes its an equal giving process. So yeah the breakup was probably over other stuff too, but it really is not so horrible to have to pay for a date. Also, maybe this last date was his last attempt to see if you'd change your approach any. Have you ever even offered to pay for the dates or been grateful when he has paid? Not assuming one way or another just genuinely wondering.
FYL, I'm sorry to hear that. Find someone who will treat you well :)
