If you don't have the time to be focused on your school work so you get good grades then you really don't have the time to go to a convention.

Well, hopefully you can use this time to start making an effort towards improving your academic achievements. There's 1 thing you need to remember in your life OP, you are studying for yourself, for your future, not for your parent's sake so they don't punish you again. There's only so much your parents can do to help you, but in the end it's you who will need to make the effort. You are the one who will be living your life 10 years from now, not your parents.

My kids would get the same. Lesson learned

Take it from a ball bag. The better you do in school the easier life can be for you. Because life gets harder as you get older.

yeah and I have never been to a Pax convention because I live too far from every location they attend. what a waste of a ticket.

Take it from someone who did fail 3 classes, you will dig yourself into a hole that will be hard to get out of. Now you have to retake classes on top of the ones you have to take to graduate. You may not graduate on time.
