Selfish

Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML

Awesome parents you have! They seem to care a lot about your education & well being.

If it is for bills have mom bring you the bill, drop a check in and you mail it in for her.

I see the long gooey strands of sarcasm dripping from your comment like the melted cheese on a pizza. Edit: damn, this was meant as a reply to #1.. It works here too

Been there done that. I just went through that this past summer, she thinks she can blow money and hit up her kids. Well I put my foot down and said no and so hasn't my sister. Don't give in.

DId you also lend your sister $1,000 bucks to pay bills? Sounds to me like you need to "free" your parents from your bank account. If you continue to help them, tell them you'll be paying the bills direct, otherwise, no moola! Also, sounds like you own a car and a MacBook, I'd threathen to take possession.
