Today, I found out what's worse than having the "sex talk" with your parents: having the "sex talk" with your boyfriend, when he's 23, right before you were supposed to have sex. FML

Today, I was having the "sex talk" with my mom because I really want to have sex with my boyfriend. My dad overheard us and is sulking. The only reason he hasn’t said anything like, “I’ll kill the boy” or, “Not until you’re married” is because he’s scared of my mom. Now everything is awkward at home FML

Today, I realized why it's not a good idea to sleep with your boyfriend when he still lives with his mom. She may walk in, make you get dressed, and demand what you have to say for yourself. Trust me, "Your son is good at sex" is not the right answer. FML

OP, so exactly how much detail did you have to go into? Do you mean he knew nothing and you have to explain everything? Or that he was just inexperienced and needed a bit of guidance? Or the talk a lot of people have with their partners about things like contraception? I mean most people's parents talk to them about the basics, and some go into things like contraception (the others assume the kid will learn about it in things like Sex Ed. or PSE). I suppose very few go into specifics, but somehow I don't really think that's what you meant.

That's not such a big deal. I never had "the talk" with anyone but it wasn't until I was 21 before I did anything anyway.

How can you not know how sex works by the age of 23? Was he raised in a box in a cave on a deserted island? I'm asking because he evidently never watched TV, movies, or has been on the internet. And for all those people who think this guy is ultra religious, if that were the case he wouldn't be having premarital sex. This might be a good time to reconsider the relationship.
