Sick ride, dude

Today, my parents said that they bought me a car. I had been begging for one for a year and they always said that I would have to pay for it myself. I got really excited and went to the garage to see my new ride. It was a Hot Wheels car with a note saying, "Save your money". FML

:-) That's basically what my family did to my brother, only we used a model BMW. You kind of deserve that - car's aren't toys and they are expensive to buy and worse to insure. Get a job and pay for it yourself. Best of luck!

I wouldn't mind getting Hot Wheels cars...

One time my brother just assumed he was getting a car for Christmas. He was so rude the week before Christmas that my parents took back all his gifts (they actually weren't going to give him a car) and he got deodorant. He thought that maybe the keys were hidden in the deodorant so he destroyed his only Christmas present. BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!! (I got an x box!) :)

quit being a leech you lazy bitch. get a job and buy one. I bet you would have begged for insurance and gas money too. keep your mentality, and you're going to grow up to be a nobody.

I'd just like to point out (and I'm sure I'm going to piss a few people off) that just because your parents buy you a car (or 2 in my case) it doesn't make you a spoiled brat. I know I am blessed to have parents with the means to provide me with nice things, and I don't take it for granted. So stop hating.

well.... you probably should just save your money instead of expecting your parents to buy it for you. but FYL because that was mean of them.

i feel your pain OP andf**k yall that say he deserved it bc he could be like me in a small town where there are no jobs and no way to get to a job if he had one

That's what my parents gave me for my 16th birthday. I didn't even get any other presents

Am I the only one that actually got a part time job while I was at school and saved to buy myself a car? Your parents don't owe you anything, they have already raised you for how many years? Learn to stand on your own two feet and stop acting like a spoilt brat. Why should your parents buy you a car? What have you bought them that would of been to the same value?

How are you meant to learn the value of money if your parents buy you everything

My dad did the exact same thing to me :(
