Today, I got married and I'd invited everyone from work including my boss. His way of congratulating me was to mention that I'm out of a job. He said it was a good time to do it because he thought I would be too happy or too drunk to care. FML

Today, my boyfriend proposed to me. My boss called me into her office and congratulated me, and spent almost half an hour asking me what our wedding plans were, where we might honeymoon, if we wanted kids, etc. She then followed this by suddenly remembering she had called me into the office to sack me. FML

Today, a co-worker came back from his honeymoon. He passed by my office to say hi, and mentioned, "I heard you're getting married next year?" I broke up with my boyfriend yesterday. He's taking his things out of the house as I write this. FML

Today, I was invited to a party to celebrate my ex-fiancée's recent engagement. The party is at work, because my ex is also my boss. Her new fiancée is some guy she met while on a "business trip" that happened while we were still engaged. FML

I had a similar thing happen to me except my boss waited until the day I got home from my honeymoon and she fired me over a text because she said she'd have felt bad saying it to my face since she figured I'd be so happy getting back from my honeymoon that she wouldn't want to look at my face when she fired me.

what an ass. I would have had my wedding party toss his ass into the nearest body of water. if the cops show up claim he was uninvited and was crashing the party.
