sucks for you I bet you looked hilarious
I'm sure others are saying it, but patch tests are important if you're sensitive. I never leave a sensitive client without recommending one, so perhaps you should speak to a professional rather than your friends about what would be best for you. You had an allergic reaction to an ingredient in the mask. It's in your best interest to try and figure out what that ingredient is in order to avoid it in the future. For now, aloe, colloidal oatmeal, and any other anti-inflammatory you can get your hands on would be a great idea to prevent any permanent damage to your skin.
Unless of course the op is allergic to any of those, I know aloe for me would burn a million times worse
That is why they tell you to test in a small "hidden" area other than your face for the first time. lol
Never take medical advise from a non doctor.... or these will be the results :-)
thats an allergic reaction, not the fault of the medication
Sounds to me like you started going into anaphylactic shock. What are you allergic to?
face mask
Anaphylactic shock is when you have an allergic reaction and your airways swell and you slowly suffocate. It's a medical emergency. What OP had was just a run of the mill allergic reaction.
Some of us don't know what this is like because we don't have acne
That's the worst feeling ever :/ try taking Benadryl or something
Don't the warnings usually also say to first test on a small area -like the inside of your wrist- in case you have some kind of allergic reaction? Still that sounds awful, OP.

I used to use skin creams for acne and sensitive skin. I found it made my face worse.
Some people with sensitive skin can find those "natural" ingredients worse than the chemicals that are supposed to be bad. I do sometimes. But I also know if you have sensitive skin and are trying a new product, you ALWAYS DO A PATCH TEST. OP learn from this. I test near my elbow, then on a small section of face if unsure. Slathering it on your face is asking for trouble!
