a parakeet is much smaller then a parrot right? damn, your parrot mustve been a wimp to let sky kill him.
It's weird, I have two parrots. One's a total pussy (African Grey) the other's a badass (Blue-Front Amazon) my cat tried to eat them once and is not missing a part of his ear. I couldn't imagine a parakeet killing and eating a parrot, in fact, it's pretty safe to say it's bullshit. They don't even have the appetite do eat a handful of birdseed...
not only are you lacking in creativity ( sky and parrot ) but you managed to buy a zombie parakeet
and the parakeet wasnt dead so it cant be a zombie
maybe it was hungry.
honestly...its two birds that didn't know each other, and you put them in a cage together? You didn't know if they would fight, love each other, etc. and your locking them in a cage together while you are at work for hours and hours.. They most likely fought to figure out who the "big dog" is, and it was a fight to the death...i am sorry your bird died but really, common since says dont do something like that til they aer accustomed to each other.
Maby something like ''and mammals eat mammals''.
Ummmmm, you totally deserve it!! You Should've bought the parakeet on a day that you didn't have to work and watch them throughout the day. And even before that, you should've gotten another cage to put the new one in and put the cages side by side so that the birds could get used to each other first. If you didn't know that you shouldn't even have had the first bird. A BIG YDI.
dude, stfu you're annoying. and pretty stupid. get off your "I'm so high and mighty" pedestal and let go of your massive judgmental ego Kay? Kay.
You're supposed to quarantine birds for six weeks before you add them to cages with your other birds, lest they be carrying any nasty diseases or aggressive tendencies.
Yep. Some bird owners are pretty damn retarded, like OP. The fact OP didn't quarantine the new bird alone makes him a careless owner. It's like some didn't bother reading seriously before adopting living creatures. This level of stupidity is on pair with the guy who called at the petshop asking why his dog was fine at adoption, but after 4 days it didn't move much and looked sick. When asking what he was feeding the dog, his serious answer was ''I'm supposed to feed it?''.
Just because the parrot is dead doesn't mean the parakeet killed it. However, since it's a possibility, OP should have been more careful. Bird owner's should realize it's not smart to leave two birds alone (Especially since the parrot was there first, in it's pre-established territory) until you know how they act around each other. It's not uncommon for birds to try to kill other birds in their cage if they don't take a liking to each other. Also, it's incredibly stupid to put a parakeet in a cage with a parrot. Two separate species of birds, and with how much bigger parrots are than parakeets... I'm surprised both of them weren't lying dead. It's imperative they had separate cages, ridiculous to think they didn't need it. OP is an absolute idiot.
It's also pretty stupid to start a sentence with "Just because the parrot is dead doesn't mean the parakeet killed it". Hypocritical dumbass.
First of all, the word you're looking for is "contradictary," not "hypocritical." Second of all, there are other ways the parrot could have died.
How is that at all a hypocritical statement? Do you not understand the definition of the word or do you just think it's a random insult you can throw out? The parakeet did not have to kill the parrot for the parrot to die. Birds are not immortal creatures than can only be killed by an attack from another bird. Animals die every single day from natural causes, it's entirely possible the death was merely coincidental.

blue parakeets are evil. mine clawed my green parakeet to death, then perched on its perch with a smug look in its eyes.
