Snark

Today, I fell down a flight of stairs at college. I was taken to hospital with a fractured ankle and had to call my parents to drive me home. They constantly made passive-aggressive remarks on the way home, because I'd "totally ruined" their plans to eat out at a fancy restaurant tonight. FML

I have a suspicion that your dad was going to be the only one 'eating out' while they were all alone that night.

By now you should be independent -- did you demand Mommy make you pancakes, too?

Hah! But he wasn't drunk...or at least he didn't say he was

#20, sure, lots of sober, British college students fall down flights of stairs.

ThisIsHard 5

I fall UP the stairs when I'm sober. Now I'm wondering what would happen if I was drunk...

my parents had to pick me up from the emergency room twice because i couldn't drive back and i had no one else to call, i just have epilepsy but i'm sure it applies to other things :P

# 26, providing that when you are sober, you decide to fall up the stairs; if you are drunk, there is a slight probability that you will fall down the stairs. But I'm no scientist.

#49 I'm no scientist either. But let me just assure you, I don't decide to fall up or down the stairs. You see, I am actually a victim of serious stair hate. Stairs are out to get me, hell, I can't even walk outside of my own home without running into one of them. Trust me #49, I shit you not, stairs are EVIL. So, scientifically speaking, chances are if I do get drunk, my ass would avoid stairs like the bubonic plague. But don't take my word for it, take science's.

How exactly did you fall down the stairs? If you were running down the stairs or something stupid, YDI.

Your logic is so absurd, it's just sad! (¬_¬)

What if OP was sliding down the rails of stairs or horse playing?

Actually your logic is absurd, if you can't analyze the situation fully. All I was pointing out was that OP could be known for mischief and his parents have to bail him out a lot. And my logic is completely absurd for pointing a possibly? You need to get your head out of your ass -_-

But we don't have all the facts. So my logic and assumptions are built on the "given facts" and not possibilities. There are millions of possibilities though it doesn't mean they're true. All we know is he was in college during "the accident". So i'll be assuming he fell down the stairs trying to get to class in a hurry, or slipped. But I won't assume a unicorn was chasing him while he was trying to slide down the stairs using a tray.. See, my head IS out of my ass ;) You should try it sometime!

I wasn't even saying we had all the given facts. You are taking what I said and turning it into something else. All I said was that IF he was doing something stupid then he deserved it. I never said that he actually was. So your head is still far up your ass you bitch.

"Son, what do they teach you at that college we are paying for? Haven't they taught you about a little invention called an elevator? Seriously, ask your professors about it."

musiciangirl591 16

some buildings don't have elevators... the dorm i lived in last year didn't

Some of us like to climb stairs. It's often faster than an elevator for the first four floors.

Must be British. Notice he said taken to hospital not to the hospital

My sarcasm sense is tingling....

Are you seriously complaining about the British contracting our own language? We'll do what we like with it, thanks.

It's not your fault! It's gravity's

He probably saw the floor sad and gave it a hug..

They probably have no life with you gone!

Being Passive aggressive is non-verbal. For example, if your angry with someone you don't verbal tell them l, instead you give angry looks, change your behavior towards that person ect. So passive aggressive "remarks" is not possible.

Corrupt_waffles 13

Actually. You are wrong. Passive aggressive is very verbal. It's not just dirty looks. Next time please use a dictionary before you say a term is not possible.

You can be passive aggressive with words. Such as "Man, I sure wish I could have eaten at that restaurant tonight" "Wow, am I ever hungry, too bad something made me miss dinner."

Upon further research into some of my books I found this: "Ambiguity: Being cryptic, unclear, not fully engaging in conversations". Which pretty much highlights that I was wrong. So I have learnt something and apologise to those who I may have offended. It wasent my intention. Stay safe!

Great job ruining their night op

This similarly has happened to me. When I was a college student living in an apartment I was rushed to the ER in excruciating/radiating back pain and had to call my mother to drive the 90 minutes to meet with me at the hospital. She was headed to a restaurant with several members of extended family when I called. When they heard what had happened they went home to order a pizza while she came to see me. I ruined their night. What's worse is they didn't ever get to go back to that restaurant and now it's permanently closed.
