So wrong

Today, I talked to a girl on the phone who had previously told me her last relationship "ended very badly." I said, "So let me guess, the jerk cheated on you?" She paused for a few moments and finally replied, "No, he died in a motorcycle accident." FML

wow, her ex is a bad ass. he rode a bike, and died because of it. he's so cool!

Never "assume", dickface. It makes an "ass" our of "u" and "me". You deserve it for making an ass of yourself.

wow you are such an annoying little peeve. go away edit!!!

Talking to girls about other boyfriends=friend zone.

No it doesn't, it's opening up. Letting the guy know why she may be single now, what went wrong in the last relationship. By NOT telling someone why they're still single to me is a little suspicious.

I have no idea why I'm single. And since you're the girl, maybe you can tell me.

ohh man. My best friend's boyfriend just died in a Motorcycle accident. Same thing happens to her a lot. Still, FYL

Is she also telling people her relationship ended badly? Because if so, it's pretty much her own fault. When you say it "ended badly" everyone knows that means it ended with fights/ name calling/ some other nastiness and that you are not on speaking terms, as opposed to it ending nicely/ civilly and you still being friends. Technically, yes, your partner dying is a bad ending to the relationship, but if you word it that way you know what people will assume. OP made a logical guess, the girl should have said something else.
