Sorry, but…

Today, my nephew spent a long while enthusiastically telling me how amazing his new 3D TV system is. I felt his pain as his face turned white when he remembered that I'm blind in one eye since birth. FML

It'd be pretty mean if the kid said, "I wish you'd step back from that ledge, my friend." Wait! That's Third Eye Blind, not Second Eye Blind. Never mind. Wait! That's Nirvana...

I feel you, I've been blind in one eye since birth to. Although at times it's tough you gotta remember that in a way we're lucky - we're not completely blind (yet) I still have about 5 years before I completely loose my vision. So enjoy every moment of sight!

I know how u fell I was born blind in one eye too

I am blind in one eye and still able to see some 3-d scenes. Tell 'em to try it.

i know how that feels, i have the exact same condition

So when they get a 4D Aromavision screen you'll be stuck at 3D? I'm confused.

I can kinda feel your pain here. Im not blind in one eye but i have strabismus so my non-dominant eye just adds extra peripheral vision. Ive never been able to see 3D anything nor do I have any kind of depth perception. My mother-in-law was excited to take the family to see a Disney 3D movie recently and with the glasses it made the movie look like a normal movie to me. Just be thankful you have at least one good eye to use... thats more than some people can say. Ive heard some people say the 3D ruins movies for them so maybe we arent missing out on much anyway.

Anyone saying YDI is a jerk. How does the OP deserve blindness? Sheesh.

Uh... yeah, you need two eyes to see in 3D. In fact, you need two eyes with the correct intersecting angles of vision (which is why prey animals, who have eyes father apart to see a greater width, cannot see in 3D). Now who's the moron?

Ya get back to me when you have one eye.
