Today, I was at my 3 year-old niece's birthday party. I was swinging on their swing set when she walked directly into my path. I tried to jump off the swing, but I could not stop myself in time. I ended up kicking her in the face and giving her a black eye. Happy birthday! FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I was babysitting my niece and let her watch cartoons on YouTube while I cooked dinner. She screamed as I was cutting up carrots and I cut myself. She had turned on an episode of Happy Tree Friends and was now crying and wouldn't stop. My brother thumped me for not watching her. I now have a cut hand and black eye. FML

I did that to my two year old sister once. Except I was the one getting the black eye, and she didn't get hurt at all....

well that's her own fault for now watching where she was going...that's the problem with kids, they never watch where they're going! that's how they learn to watch where they're going right? they'll never learn otherwise...

That wouldve made a nice afhv :) But ouch, Sorry to hear that. Accidents do happen .

LOL I tried to jump off a swing once, but I changed my mind halfway through and as the swing went down and was half on the swing, I slammed into the ground and heard a bunch of cracks all over my body

This happened to me, as the little kid. When I was three years old, my cousin was on a swing and caught me in the face. Be glad your niece got off with a black eye, I had to get twenty-two running stitches under my eyebrow, and half an inch lower I would have lost my eye.

That actually happened to my 15 month old daughter about month ago. One of her aunts was swinging on the swings and my daughter was walking the other way to get a ball, but suddenly switched directions before anyone could do anything. She was facing away from the swing and didn't get a black eye but she took rough fall. Her aunt felt so bad she cried for like 10 min. before we could calm her down.
