Spammed out

By goddamnit - 14/03/2009 02:57 - United States

Today, I got a letter saying I was no longer a student at my college and my current work is void since I had ignored and refused to pay my tuition bill. Over the past month I've been deleting these pesky emails saying 'FINAL WARNING regarding payment' thinking it was more spam. They weren't. FML

Yeah, you're probably not going to get much sympathy for this, especially since all you had to do was take two seconds to see that the sender's e-mail address was from your own school.

i don't see how it's possible not to think about paying your tuition

Maybe his/her parents are paying the tuition...so how would he/she know if they paid it or not?! Maybe he/she even reminded them and they just never did it...

Idiot. Although I have to say that university tuition emails ARE really annoying and easy to ignore.

Since you evidently don't know the difference between the use of the words "a" and "an", perhaps its for the best.

agreed! that's the first thing I thought of when I read this FML. lol

That's what you get for using a shity email service that still allows in enough spam into your inbox that you disregard emails without checking.

How did you get in in the first place? Didn't they send you an email along the way with some important information?

The college is the one that should be saying "FML." They invested in you and obviously didn't get much return.

maybe in my school its different, but you pay tuition before you take ur classes so if you dont pay that just means you cant register for classes, doesnt mean you get kicked out of the school

Your fault. No sympathy to be had here.

Schools are a pain in the ass. They dropped me cause they said my tuition was never paid...I went into the Student Accounts office, and it turned out it was because they didn't know if the loan amounts were approved since I wasn't a full time student, and they needed approval from the Financial Aid office. I'm sorry, the offices are right next to each other. You couldn't walk down the hallway you share with the office and ask??? Or hell, if getting off your lazy ass is too much, call them/send an email. I had it resolved in about 5 minutes by getting a signature.
