Today, I wore my Ugg boots to work. I forgot that my office is carpeted and that the fur in my boots makes me shock every metal thing I touch. I work with computers all day. FML

There is rubber on the bottom of every shoe so you cannot shock anything. This would never happen unless u took off your boots and were wearing socks and you then preceded to slide your feet on the ground. This could never happen with your shoes on uggs or other shoes, you dumb retarded person

Actually you're not being very smart either. Wearing rubber-soled shoes doesn't prevent you from shocking things. You wont pick up the static from the carpet if you're wearing rubber soled shoes, but if you pick it up from elsewhere, you can definitely still shock things. Maybe OP had something else static-y around and she assumed it was from her shoes.
