Today, I had surgery done to fix an ingrown toenail. When the doctor started cutting the nail, my toe wasn't entirely numb. FML

Why didn't they make sure its was frozen? Sorry op must've hurt like hell.

I had that done a few years ago, both big toes at once. Hurt even after the meds kicked in. Sorry OP, that had to be a bitch. Get better soon!

That happened to my sister when she was having oral surgery. They did the whole procedure before the numbing agent could take effect. They held her down and everything while she cried and screamed.

Been there! Sucks a lot! Hope you have a swift recovery.

I lnow the feeling. It took 6 injections to freeze my toe. The third time I needed the surgery. Quick recovery. Don't push yourself too hard

I had to have both of my big toenails removed. I quite literately feel your pain as mine wasn't completely blocked either.

how can anyone think, "YDI for having the surgery in the first place" like wtf

I've had many ingrown toenail surgeries. They always grew back, even when they used some chemical to kill the nail bed. I just use cuticle scissors and cut them out myself now. I've seen it done so many times, I do it better than any doctor ever has. I obviously don't cut it as far over.

Ouch! I've had steroid injections into my toenails beds while not anesthetized, it's painful stuff. Hope it's better for you OP.

Been there. A less than pleasant experience.

I have one of those too, but I didn't know there was a surgery for it, I thought we were supposed to just file it down after we cut it?
