Strict household

By pathetic_girl - This FML is from back in 2010 but it's good stuff - Canada

Today, I accidentally admitted to two girls in my first year university astronomy class that I have a strict 10pm bedtime. FML

Dude!! For real? Your a ******* idiot. What College University Student drops a line saying their bedtime is 10:pm. Your a ******* retard. End of story dumbass. Oh btw u deserved it

This could mean that the guy just likes to be in bed by 10 PM, not that his parents make him go to bed then or something.

I started going to bed between 10 and 11 a couple months ago, and it's awesome.. I wake up easily every morning, my skin's been perfect, and no more bags under the eyes! And sure you'd miss a couple parties if you went to bed early EVERY night. But during 5-6 nights out of the week, what's everyone really doing all night? Facebook? :P

Bedtime set by you or your parents? If by your parents, grow a pair and move out. If by yourself, who gives a ****. Best time to sleep is between 10-6 because you get the most REM sleep between those times given you have a normal circadian rhythm. Or if you're like me and need to get up at 5:45 because you have early morning classes... Still, as an astronomy major I figured you'd want to go outside at night an observe the stars.

A 10pm bedtime, and an Astronomy Career, are pretty much mutually exclusive, you realize. This should also be something you could figure out with very basic logic skills; which is also a requirement of a career in Astronomy. A couple of hot Astronomy chicks? Well, that's a luxury, and I'm sure a lot of Astronomy guys went without. If you get another chance, lie. Say you were nervous and making a stupid joke, and meant to say 10am. ANYTHING to get into their pants. Anyway, that 10pm bedtime's got to go, or you've got to change your major. Unless you live in Antarctica, because, not much happens, astronomy-wise, before 10pm, at most latitudes < 75 degrees.

OP is a woman. Nowhere in the FML does it say that OP thought they were hot, so I'm guessing she's not looking to get into their pants.

Don't worry my bedtime is ten,so I can wake up for my eight am biology seminar, and I find it impressive you can finish all you homework before then
