Today, it was snowing really badly, so my boss said that everyone who drove to work could leave. But because I got the bus in, she said that I should stay and do a full day. By the time she eventually decided it was bad enough for me to leave, the buses were cancelled. FML

Today, I spent an hour in a snowstorm waiting for my bus to show up. After I got fed up, I decided to just clean off my car and drive to work. After I was halfway finished swiping off the snow and ice stuck to my car, the bus drove right past me. FML

Today, a snow storm rolled into my small town, leaving my car stuck under 3 feet of snow. I called my boss to tell her I couldn't drive to work. Her reply? "Walk." FML

Today, is the blizzard. I have to go into work, my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't show up. I sent him a picture of the snow completely covering my car. He said I moved the snow there and could move it back. FML

Today, my boss texted me to say the office was closed because of the snow. I begged him to let me go in anyway because I had nothing to do all day. I have no life, friends or hobbies. FML

Today, after getting up at 6 a.m., fighting with the dogs to wipe their paws off from the snow, and having to wait for a moving truck to move so I could get to work by 8, I got a call from my boss saying we were closed due to weather. It was 8:15. I was already there. FML

Today, we had our second snow day in a row, something that never happens. So while the rest of school got to sleep late, I had to wake up early, get dressed, and go to my bus stop because my mom didn't believe me. FML

Today, I'm a superintendent at a school, and it snowed today after school. The snow ended up freezing on the road, so I called school off for tomorrow. I sent calls home, cancelled all school events, and then realized that it's Friday. FML

Today, I went to work only to serve one table, make a $9.00 tip, get sent home because it was slow, have the city busses stop running because of weather, and have to pay a $20 cab fare to get home. FML

wow your boss is a dumbass. taking a bus is no different from driving yourself, the roads have to be clear either way. your boss better have given you a ride home.

Buses get cancelled before its too bad for cars, your boss lacks any concept of public transport.

to the person who says YDI for not knowing how to drive. In some places it is easier and better to take public transport. I live and work in NYC. I have a licence and I have a car, but I don't always use it. Driving and parking in NYC is often much more of a headache than the subway or bus!

Same in Brisbane, Australia. luckiky i luve close to the city, so if i need to go to the city, i can just catch the bus. But my part time job is in a fast food restaurant, next door to a service station, so i drive there.

We had bus service cancelled here in TX a few weeks ago, but I won't bitch.... they had too many wrecks, and I didn't need to get hurt! My sympathies to you, tho.

Some people on here are very inconsiderate. Much of the time the reason people use the bus instead of driving themselves is because they CANT. Maybe they are handicapped or disabled so it's too difficult for them to drive or they are unable to alltogether. Ever thought of that? There are many reasonable explanations for using public transportation, it's not always a choice, some people have to use it. Anyway, the boss was a douche. Very inconsiderate.

You should thank your boss for making the decision to give you a lift home. They obviously didn't feel you were safe with public transportation and wanted to ensure you got home safe by doing it themselves.
