Sure, it's always the woman's fault

Today, I got to listen to my boss lecture me about professional dress and subtly insinuate that my being on the heavier side top-wise with all the men in the office could be a problem. I've worn turtle necks for the whole two months I've been working there. FML

Well, OP, that's what happens when you only wear turtlenecks and no pants :/

Show up in clothes four sizes too big, or wearing a FtM style binder. What would he think about that?

I wonder if the boss would lecture a male employee with ample moobs wearing turtlenecks?

Even if you hadn't your boss is a sexist fuckstain for expecting you to bow to bullshit mysoginist ideals.

Turtles are sexy. Clearly you are enticing those men with your long scaly neck and your smooth round shell!

I think that you should be aware of how you're dressing.

OP I hope you stood up for yourself. It's not your responsibility to manage your male colleagues' urges. It's theirs.

Maybe he is trying to tell you that a turtleneck isn't professional enough? Since when is that considered formal?

Professional and formal aren't the same type of clothing. I doubt any of her coworkers are wearing tuxedos and gowns to work. And yes, a turtleneck and slacks, especially with a blazer, is an acceptably professional outfit.

wear button up tops instead. turtlenecks make your boobs look bigger. if you wear tops, wear scoop necklines. very unflattering for boobs so that should help at your work. switch to sports bras for work as they make your boobs stick out a lot less.

Button up tops would actually SHOW her boobs, like the skin. How is that better? And yes, unless she gets like four sizes too big, and therefore would be baggy (a strike against professional dressing) they WILL have an opening. First hand experience.

Turtlenecks, while technically appropriate, really accentuate big boobs.

I'm sorry, he should be having a discussion with the creeps that won't stop looking at you.
